The Rock Rendezvous

By Evie Arballo

Once upon a time, "The Dwayne Chronicles" were born. Sadly, the Chronicles hit ROCK bottom when they were erased following days after they were made.

The aura of a spring afternoon. Not a voice heard. The only movement that could be heard were pencils moving, and papers flipping. Jamita Jackson approached Mrs. Crystel Weber’s white board. “Mrs. Weber allowed me to draw on the whiteboard,” Jackson said. The Dwayne Chronicles were created seconds after. “I had finished junior SBA testing and not everyone was done … I had to draw alternate versions of Dwayne Johnson.” Jackson emphasized her drawings, they became popular to all grades at Springwater Trail High School. The freshmen mostly took interest in The Dwayne Chronicles. Freshmen Emilie Hurt and Hadassah Helfrich had put their own additions to the 'Chronicles, “...We thought they were amazing and funny!”

The start of the Chronicles! The first ever Chronicle was “Dwanye ‘the Shrek’ Johnson”[far right] created by Jamita Jackson… More of the other Chronicles were created by Jackson, Emilie Hurt ,and Haddie Helfrich. As well as other students as STHS.

The first ever Dwayne Chronicle was Dwayne "The Shrek" Johnson, others were born with the names, Dwayne "The Clock" Johnson, Dwayne "The Rooster" Johnson, and WAY MORE! Dwayne "The Rooster" Johnson happened to be favored by Jackson, some other creations were made by Hurt and Helfrich including, Dwayne "The Block" Johnson, Dwayne "The Stonks" Johnson,”and “Dwayne "The Flock" Johnson. Hurt said “I added those ones because they all rhymed!” Having other students at STHS participate in such a little activity can create such fun and memorable moments.

The Dwayne Chronicles had become a very talkative subject around Springwater Trail HS. Many students and teachers were curious and confused. The memories that had been created in Mrs. Weber’s room was the art for the students that witnessed the creation. 'Chronicles was also a place for other students to contribute to.“Other people added their own drawings over a couple of days. It truly became a masterpiece,” claimed Jackson.
